When you lose someone you love, a gift to Melanoma Institute Australia is a thoughtful and meaningful way to honour them. It is also a way to express hope that we will one day find a cure for melanoma.
How to make a donation in memory of a loved one
Donations of $2 and over are fully tax deductible and you will receive a receipt from Melanoma Institute Australia ABN 35 123 321 148.
Organising a donation collection at a funeral
Many families request that in memoriam gifts are made in lieu of flowers at funeral services. If this is your preference, we are able to assist you by providing in memory envelopes to distribute. Please ask your funeral director to contact us.
If you prefer, you can contact us directly on 9911 7200 or by

. We can deliver envelopes in 2-3 working days.
If you would like to include something in the funeral notice we suggest the following wording. "In loving memory of ……, the family would prefer donations to Melanoma Institute Australia in lieu of flowers. Donation envelopes will be available on day of funeral".
Letter expressing condolences and appreciation
A letter expressing condolences and appreciation is sent to the next of kin or nearest family member. In memoriam envelopes include a section for next-of-kin information. If you would like to receive a list of those you have kindly donated, we recommend you fill in this form prior to the service. Your funeral director may be able to assist with this.
Set up a personal In Memoriam Fundraising Page
You can also honour your loved one by setting up an ‘In Memoriam’ on-line fundraising page, personalising it with photos and text and even video, and sending a message out to your friends and family via email. To do this register to create an online tribute page and follow the simple steps.
