Our state-of-the-art conference facilities are available for hire. Located in North Sydney, our unique venue is ideal for board meetings, conferences, training sessions and seminars. All proceeds from the use of this facility support melanoma research and education.
The Poche Centre contains state-of-the-art educational facilities which include a 40-seat conference room and a 100-seat auditorium. Both facilities have a fully integrated audio visual system and access to a large breakout space which can be utilised throughout your session.
Our facilities are ideal for morning, afternoon or evening functions such as meetings, conferences, training sessions or seminars.
Our auditorium has a capacity of 100 seats and incorporates a fully integrated audio visual system. The features include video conferencing and the ability to podcast the sessions in this space.
Also available for hire is a 40-seat meeting room. This room comfortably seats 20 individuals around the meeting table with the space for additional seats around the perimeter of the room.
The facility has an area outside of the conference room and auditorium which can be used as a break-out space for morning tea, lunch or general discussion. This area can accommodate 100 people (standing). Courtyards and an external deck may also be utilised.
The main entrance to the Poche Centre is located on the corner of Rocklands Road and Sinclair Street, directly opposite the Mater Hospital entrance. After hours access to the Poche Centre is via the entrance on the corner of Rocklands Road and Gillies Street, or through the car park.
Both the conference room and auditorium are equipped with state-of-the-art audio visual equipment. Laptop computers, both MAC and PC, are available and projectors are integrated into the services of each room. There is also the ability to record and generate a podcast of presentations and events in each room as required. Video conferencing facilities are also available.
The kitchen facilities have been designed to cater for small and large functions, including luncheons, dinners and cocktail events. The kitchen is equipped with refrigerators, food warmers, a microwave oven, dishwasher and ample stainless steel bench serving space. Tea and coffee will be available for all functions, and the BBQ on the external deck offers a great alternate for a more casual affair.
Parking is available within the centre with up to 120 reserved spots. Note that charges apply.
