A registered nurse since 1995, Penni has had extensive experience in acute surgical nursing, particularly in the fields of plastics & reconstructive surgery and surgical oncology.

As an expert clinician, Penni frequently fields calls from general practitioners, community nurses and other health professionals regarding appropriate peri-operative management of melanoma patients. She established the Melanoma Nursing Clinic which now sees over 1,000 consultations per year and has expanded into a comprehensive peri-operative wound management and education service. Penni was appointed CNC (Melanoma & Surgical Oncology) in Nov 2007.

Louise joined Melanoma Institute Australia in January 2011 after an extensive peri-operative nursing career in both rural NSW and metropolitan Sydney. The majority of Louise's work has been in surgical nursing and clinical management in operating theatres. At the Institute, Louise co-ordinates and facilitates care for melanoma patients and brings with her extensive experience and understanding of surgical oncology.
