Give in memory
When you lose someone you love, a donation to Melanoma Institute Australia is a thoughtful and meaningful way to honour them. It is also a way to express hope that we will one day find a cure for melanoma.
How to make a donation in memory of a loved one
Donations of $2 and over are fully tax deductible and you will receive a receipt from Melanoma Institute Australia ABN 35 123 321 148
Online tribute page
You may also like to honour your loved one by setting up an online Tribute Page. This gives you the opportunity to create a personlised tribute online with your own photos, words and video. You can then email the link to friends and family asking them to write their own thoughts on the page and support melanoma research in lieu of giving flowers. Receipts will be automatically issued.
Set up your Tribute Page. For further information or assistance, please contact Louise Clayton on (02) 9911 7362, or
Donation collection at a funeral
Many families request that in memoriam gifts are made in lieu of flowers at funeral services. If this is your preference, we are able to assist you by providing in memory envelopes to distribute. Please ask your funeral director to
or if you prefer, call us directly on 02 9911 7200 or contact us by
. We can deliver envelopes in 2-3 working days.
If you would like to include something in the funeral notice we suggest the following wording. "In loving memory of ……, the family would prefer donations to Melanoma Institute Australia in lieu of flowers. Donation envelopes will be available on the day of the funeral".
We will send a tax deductible receipt to every person who makes a donation in memory at the funeral service, and we will send you, or the nominated next of kin, a summary of everyone that has made a donation in memory.
