Thank you for joining us for Melanoma March and helping raise $205,384 for melanoma research!
More than 2,400 people took action against melanoma at Melanoma March on Sunday 24th March 2013 across 6 sites in NSW and QLD. The community’s amazing support through participation and generous donations raised over $200,000 – an incredible achievement, allowing the vital research at Melanoma Institute Australia to continue.

In only its second year, Melanoma March has proven a great opportunity for the community to unite against melanoma, to remember loved ones lost and to raise awareness of Australia’s national cancer.
This year dedicated volunteers from the melanoma community across NSW and QLD also held marches in their local community, all marching for a cure for melanoma. Click on the links below to view photos from each march.

Thanks to the generosity of our supporters and fundraisers from our 2012 and 2013 Melanoma March, we have now commenced the first stage of the Melanoma Genome Project, mapping all of the genetic mutations that are found in many melanomas. The identification of new mutations like the BRAF mutation and drugs to target them, will extend life of people with advanced melanoma.
