National Shade Day is your opportunity to take action against melanoma during the month of September.
National Shade Day took place on Saturday 8th September 2012, which kicked off a month-long awareness campaign for Melanoma Institute Australia.
Often referred to as “Australia's national cancer”, Australia has the highest incidence of melanoma in the world. It is the most common cancer in young people (aged 15–39 years) and more than 12,500 new cases of melanoma are diagnosed in Australia every year.
