Become a speaker
We are looking for inspirational speakers around Australia to share their melanoma experiences.
You may be a melanoma survivor, patient or family member of someone who has had melanoma. If you are willing to tell your story – the good, the bad and the in-between, then we would love to hear from you.
What is involved
The Speakers’ Hub is a voluntary role. Our Speakers are given essential story telling training and matched with speaking events which suit their personality, story, location and time constraints. It might be a little daunting at first, but having a voice and helping raise awareness about melanoma is an extremely rewarding experience.
Your personal experience has the capacity to create change and raise awareness about melanoma. It’s about using your story to connect with people and raise awareness about the importance of prevention and research. It’s about inspiring others and encouraging people to take action.
Because no-one should die from melanoma.
If you're interested, please email Jodie.Collins@melanoma.org.au and tell us a little about yourself and your melanoma story.
Not sure yet? Here's what one of our speakers has to say about being part of the Speakers’ Hub...
“I find the Speakers’ Hub very rewarding as I’m able to give back by sharing my husband’s melanoma story while raising awareness of melanoma and sun safety, and explaining the incredible work of Melanoma Institute Australia. I often have audience members coming up to me afterwards to thank me for sharing my moving story or to share their own stories with me. The connections we make really are incredible. I’ve met wonderful people at various events and look forward to further opportunities as part of the Speaker’s Hub.” – Bettina
