Professor Georgina Long Co -Medical Director named Women of Influence in AFR Top 100 List

11 September 2019

The Financial Review 2019 Women of Influence has announced, for the seventh year running, the Women of Influence Top 100 List, recognising the contribution women leaders make to the community. The University of Sydney reported four of the most outstanding academics that had been included in this list, including Professor Georgina Long.

"The 100 Women of Influence list announced celebrates the contribution women make across Australian society, and is committed to increasing the visibility of women’s leadership in Australia. Women are recognised for using their skills and talents to advocate for change and to benefit society..." the University of Sydney reported.

The Australian Financial Review Women of Influence stated "This year, 833 entries were received. Finalists were selected based on a number of criteria, including dedicating their time and energy to helping and encouraging other women in their industry, for confronting unfairness, and using their skills and ability to help change the status quo to a more equal, more diverse and vibrant society."

We celebrate with our Professor Georgina Long Co-Medical Director Melanoma Institute Australia for her recognition, her inspiration as in influencer, and for her leadership at the world’s leading melanoma research and treatment centre, the research that distinguishes Melanoma Institute Australia (MIA).
