Melanoma eBook to educate GPs
12 May 2016
After several years in development, MIA has launched its first eBook Melanoma Essentials – A Concise Guide through the Apple iBooks Store. The new easy-to-read resource is for GPs and other medical, nursing and allied professionals who are not specialised in the treatment of melanoma, to help them effectively diagnose and manage cases.
Melanoma Essentials is novel in that it has been specifically designed for the iBooks platform, taking advantage of the multimedia opportunities that creates; it has over 130 images, videos and presentations to illustrate the concepts discussed, as well interactive tutorials to facilitate learning.
The eBook has been written by a number of doctors at MIA. Many of these authors are the world leaders in their field and thus this book provides an invaluable opportunity for readers to learn from these experts in an exciting and easily understood format.

We have also recently published Melanoma Principles & Practices, a specialist-calibre textbook on melanoma care and treatment that takes advantage of all the potential that interactive communication technology affords. It is set to become an ultimate resource on melanoma, delivering readers a seamless experience that supplements the text with interactive visual supports to build knowledge to a level of understanding that would not be possible from a printed book.
